Fun times at the park

We love the park! If it was up to MaKena we’d go to the park every day. She loves to run around and play with all the different activities. Thankfully we have a park that’s within walking distance of our house. The park is part of the new Kindergarten Center in Osgood that was built a couple years ago. This summer they added to the original park so there’s a whole bunch of new equipment to play on. I brought my camera with on one of our trips to catch the kids having fun. Hopefully the weather will cooperate this fall and we can make a few more trips to the park.

First day of school

Jacob started the 5th grade this year. Boy, I can't believe he's that old. I took the traditional picture in front of the door. This way I can look back and see how much he's grown each year. While I was taking pictures of Jacob, MaKena asked if she could be in the pictures too. Soon enough I'll be sending that little peanut off to school too. They grow up way too fast.

The Fargo Airsho

The middle of August, Lane and I took the kids to the Fargo Airsho. Lane got free VIP tickets from work so we had reserved seats and even a tented area to sit and watch the show. The weather was great; it was a hot sunny day. This was MaKena’s first time going to the Airsho so I was a little worried about how she’d react to the loud planes. Thankfully they had ear plugs! We ate lunch and hung out in the VIP area and watched all the planes. My favorite part of the show is the Blue Angels. I think it’s neat how they can fly so close together. The kids really enjoyed the show and were well behaved, thankfully! Hopefully we can go again the next time they are in town.

Celebrating Isabel and Papa's birthdays

I have fallen behind big time on my blog posts. Work has been extremely busy, crazy, stressful and I’ve found it extremely difficult to come home and spend any time on the computer. I’ve finally gone through some pictures and I have a few updates ready and waiting. Sorry for the delay.

The beginning of August we spent a Saturday out at the lake celebrating Lonnie and Isabel’s birthdays. The weather was a little overcast and cloudy but we still had a lot of fun. Alexis spoiled MaKena by painting her toe nails 10 different nail polish colors and even put stickers on her big toe nails. Isabel got her toe nails done by Nana at the same time. After the polish party the kids played in the water and tried to catch some fish. After dinner, Papa and Isabel opened their presents and we all sang happy birthday and had some cake. MaKena ended up spending the night at the lake with Nana and Papa and had a blast.
