Sunday night we headed back to Navy Pier and rode the Ferris Wheel. I wasn’t going to ride it but I didn’t want to be the only one. I’m not a big fan of heights. But it wasn’t that bad. The cars didn’t swing and I tried not to look down when we were at the top. It was a beautiful view so I’m glad I went.
On Monday, we (Carol, Mom, Shari and I) headed into the city alone. We ate lunch at Millennium Park and took a Trolley tour which brought us to Lincoln Park Zoo. The Zoo was really neat. It was a hot day so some of the animals weren’t out, which was a bummer but the Apes made up for it! That’s all I’m going to say about the Apes!
On Tuesday we took a Trolley ride to the Oprah Studios and Store. On the way there we stopped in Little Italy and ate at a really good Italian restaurant. Once we made it to the Oprah Store we took some pictures of her studio, which was right across the street. We weren’t able to go to a show because she doesn't tape in the summer. But we shopped and shopped in her store. It was really neat to see her store. And of course we took pictures! Once the Trolley brought us back we hopped on another tour that took us by President Barack Obama’s house in Chicago. They have police outside his house and street 24 hours a day. The only people that can drive down that street are the ones who live there. If you are going to visit someone on that street they have to notify the cops 24 hours before your visit so they can let you in. It was interesting to see. I was able to get a picture of his street and his house.

The view from the Ferris Wheel
Justin wanted to take a picture of me with the city in the back. I believe this was at the top of the Ferris Wheel.
