Happy Birthday Jacob!!

8 years ago today at 3:14 am weighing in at 6lbs 15oz and 19 ½ inches long, Jacob Tyler was born. WOW! Has it really been 8 years already? Where in the world has the time gone? Jacob, you have grown up so fast. It seems like it was just yesterday when you were calling spiders – piders and lawn mowers – lawn motorcycles and referring to Papa as the "Old Goat". I remember when you were first learning how to write your name and you’d write the J backwards and I never wanted to correct you because it was so cute. And now here you are a big 2nd grader. You can read, write and you know how to add and subtract. You’ve grown up to be such a nice, loving boy. You have a heart as big as the sky. You are my little lover. You have hugs and kisses for everyone. You are the sweetest big brother to MaKena. You are such a big help and she just loves you. Her face lights up when you come in the room. She is one lucky little sister! Happy Birthday Jacob! I hope you have a fun filled 8th Birthday. I love you to the moon and back!

Cute videos

This is a clip of MaKena banging on the door at daddy. He was working outside in the back. You can't see him on the clip.

This is a clip of MaKena and Jacob. Jacob was being goofy and MaKena was laughing at him.

Picture Update

I finally had Lane download the pictures off the camera to the computer tonight. WOW! There were a lot of them. I really need to learn how to do that again! Things are going good at the Huseby house. We’ve been busy with the kids. And Lane has been working away in the basement. Jacob’s birthday is right around the corner. It’s hard to believe he’s going to be 8. We had his family birthday party this past weekend. I’ll post those pictures later this week. Hope you enjoy the pictures below.

MaKena got this robe at a baby shower and she finally
got to put it to use. Doesn't she look so cute in it?

We were watching for Daddy to come home. MaKena
just loves to look out the front window.
Waiting for daddy!
Oh, I think I see him coming!
Jacob staining a board at my mom's house. Don't you
just love his outfit. (My mom's shoes, gloves and shirt)

MaKena will put this toy in her mouth and breathe out
the little hole. I swear she gets goofier (is that a word?) every day!
Looks like we have a new Wii player in the house!
(Notice the radio behind her. She was playing with that first!)

Jacob swimming

Here is a video of Jacob swimming when we went to the cities the beginning of October. I know he’s not Michael Phelps but he sure has come a long way. He actually moves in the water! Before it looked like he was drowning! Hope you enjoy!

It’s November. It’s hard to believe Jacob will be 8 this month and Little Miss MaKena will be 1 next month. Where did the last year go? I remember last year at this time I was very pregnant and very uncomfortable and counting the days until my due date. And now the little person that was making me feel that way is crawling around my house and pulling everything off shelves and out of the cabinets. It’s crazy how fast it’s gone.
I’ve added some pictures from my cousins wedding the beginning of October. Jacob got to hand out bubbles after the wedding. He was so excited!!
