Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! Hope you all have a wonderful holiday with your loved ones. I've attached a picture of the kids sitting on Santa's lap. It was MaKena's first time every and she wasn't scared at all. Such a big girl. I have so much more to say but I'll have to save it for the next post when I have more time. Have a very Merry Christmas!

Love,

The Birthday Party!

We celebrated MaKena’s first birthday on Saturday with our families. It was a blast. I still can’t believe the little princess is 1 already. After daddy helped MaKena open her many gifts we all sang Happy Birthday and then we let her dig into her cake. I was impressed. If you check out the pictures below you will see her cake was decorated with balloons on top. When she started to dig into the cake she was trying to pull the balloons off and couldn’t figure out why she wasn’t able to. She didn’t make too big of a mess, which made daddy happy because he had to give her a bath! All and all it was a very fun and memorable day for our sweet princess. Hopefully the next year won’t go by as fast. Hope you enjoy the pictures below. I’ll try and load a video or two of her digging into her cake.

Happy 1st Birthday MaKena!

Happy 1st Birthday MaKena! It’s hard to believe that one year ago today at 3:10 pm you were born. I remember how excited and anxious daddy and I were for your arrival. I remember the first thing daddy said when you were born – “It’s a girl!” He was so excited you were a girl. You are daddy’s little girl and mommy’s too! You have changed so much over the year. My little snuggle bug is gone and on the move all the time. You’ve gotten three teeth, your hair has grown, you crawl around the house like a crazy girl, you get into everything, you chatter all the time, you pull yourself up on any and everything, you give kisses (wide open mouth kisses but we love them) and so much more. You are so much fun. We love you to pieces. Hope your first birthday is as special as you are Little Miss MaKena. We look forward to many more special years with you! We love you to the moon and back baby girl!

Picture Catch Up

Nothing new to report. Just busy trying to get everything ready for the holidays. I can't believe Christmas is a couple weeks away. MaKena turns 1 next Friday, the 19th. Its hard to believe she's going to be 1. She's not walking yet but she sure gets around by crawling. She is into EVERYTHING!! We put our tree up after Thanksgiving and surprisingly she hasn't touched it or the presents. Hopefully it stays that way! MaKena has her 1 year checkup on Monday December 22nd. Hopefully she's packed on a few more pounds this time! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

MaKena cleaning out the cabinet.
Making sure she gets EVERYTHING out!
MaKena pinched her finger in the drawer so we had
to put a band aid on it and she was trying to bite it off.
Not happy about the band aid!
She likes to play in the master bathroom closet.
There is all sorts of goodies in there!!
Cleaning out more cabinets! Jacob carving the pumpkin and MaKena watching.
