Chicago and meeting Dylan for the first time!

The weekend after Easter, Jen, Mom, Jacob and I drove to Chicago to meet the newest member of the Redfield family.  Justin and Laura had a beautiful baby boy named Dylan James on March 19th.  The 4 of us left Fargo Thursday and got to Justin and Laura's Friday afternoon.  We were beyond excited to meet the little guy.  It was an all out fight to see who could get their hands on him first!  Once we did we didn't put him down.  He was perfect!!  We spent the entire weekend spoiling him and when Sunday rolled around it was difficult to leave.  (Warning, there are a lot of pictures and this is only a few of the many pictures I took in the 2 days we were there!)

Mom holding her newest grandson for the first time.  She was in 7th heaven!!

I loved all the little faces he made and all the little sounds.  I couldn't get enough!

Jacob holding Dylan.  He loved holding his little cousin.
Look at that face.

Justin took Jacob outside to catch some balls for awhile.  Jacob was glued to his uncle's hip most of the weekend.  He loves his uncle Justin.  Maybe its becasue he's a big kid himself!!!

More Dylan time for Grandma!

Easter with the Huseby's

On Easter Sunday we celebrated Easter with the Huseby's at Brad and Anita's house.  Brec and Isabel were in town along with some of Anita's family.  After dinner the kids had a little Easter Egg hunt in the basement.  Alexis helped MaKena find a bunch of eggs.  Hunting for Easter Eggs never gets old to the kids!!  It was a fun Easter weekend spent with family.

Singing on Easter Sunday

On Easter Sunday the kids sang in church for Sunday School.  I always love watching them sing in church.  They did a great job!

Can you pick MaKena out?  She's standing next to Karlee and right behind the girl in the yellow dress.
Can you see Jacob?  It never fails, he's always behind someone who's taller than him!  He's in the blue shirt next to the tall girl in blue!

Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Sunday before we got ready for church the kids went on a little Easter Egg hunt in the house.  The Easter Bunny left behind a lot of eggs and the kids went nuts looking for them.  He hid them upstairs and downstairs.  I love watching how excited the kids get when they get to hunt for Easter Eggs.  They had a lot of fun and they sure got loaded up with a lot of candy!

Waiting for me to say go so they could find their eggs.
MaKena found one in the basketball hoop.
Jacob found one up high.

I'm pretty sure she was saying "Mommy I can't reach it" as I was taking the picture!
After the hunt.  Look at all their eggs!!  MaKena was a little excited, can you tell??!!

Easter at Grandma Kathy's

The Saturday before Easter mom had all of us out for an early Easter celebration.  The Easter Bunny even stopped over to hide eggs for the kids.  Uncle Tom was in town for the holiday and mom even arranged to have Grandma Vivian out.  Grandma Ivy and Carol and Keith were out for the early Easter dinner.  It was a fun family gather with lots of good food!!
